It has been 2 months ++ since I delivered my baby and I am still 4kg away from my pre pregnancy weight (sigh). I breastfeed my baby and still not able to loose weight?? I realize I eat more than I used to (before pregnant). I read that if breastfeed, need more calories (equivalent to about 2 slices of bread more per meal). I tried taking less per meal but don't feel full and get hungry again faster. How, ah... Probably bcoz I don't exercise also
Only 2 months ++. Give yourself more time. U will be back to pre pregnancy weight provided u continue BF. I still continue BF (already 7months++) No exercise or workout. Eat alot but something at office, got skip meal (not recomended) because too busy.. have to pump milk for baby.. Don't know lose how much weight. But i can wear back all the clothes that i wear before pregnant! So don't worry. Happy breastfeeding...

When I was I just gave birth, I was about 55kg. After confinement, weight still didn’t come down. A month later, I successfully slim down to 46kg (pre-pregnant weight). How I do that? Erm, I eat 2 meals in a day, which are breakfast and lunch. Didn’t take dinner! Before sleep, I drink DOM everyday, as I think still got “angin” inside. And of course, I do 20 times of sits-ups before I sleep constanly ( this really works)! |

Lynn, my breastmilk last time is also only 2oz. during my confinement i somehow lost my appet*te to eat and thus, lost some baby fat. Just as long as you take more liquid and eat MODERATELY, do some light exercise, you should be able to lost that weight in a healthy way. i don't encourage mothers to go for shortcuts to slim down as it is not healthy and in return, u will gain much more weight back. don't do things overboard, dont overeat or eat as if u are pregnant again, u should be doing fine. FYI, i also maintain my weight that way. if u always have that craving to eat, then take more meals and less portion. have lots of fruits and liquids will help in slimming down. actually yoga or pilates is a good way to slim down and tone up that body.
maybe can try Amway Proten + Lecitin E. need infom of it can e-mail me at ypviviannelee@yahoo.co m regards vivianne |

i've read that you can try take your slimming pill or else when the baby start the solid food, so it's on the 4th months. when you fully bf your baby all thing that you take will go to the baby, and when the baby get the solid food they will get other nutrient from other food. but my best advice is you should consult the doctor before you try any slimming food, i don't really trust the beauty consultant coz they're not doctor. just be careful....and take care. |

Hi Yufei, Yep, this is my 1st baby and prob the only one. Dont think I can afford to have more than 1 with prices keep increasing every now and then. And, yes I heard about BF being able to burn lotsa calories thus easier to lose weight. However, my consultant has told me otherwise. Her point is that the more we BF, the hungrier we will get and thus may eat more in return. Hmmm.... Some mothers have told me that slimming will decrease our milk supply as well.... thus I've been feeling very guilty abt it but yet I really wanna slim down la.... My supply is only at 2oz per time.... So terribly little!! |

When i was pregnant with my 1st child, i gained about 17kg. It took me almost 7 mths to get back to 48kg. (i only bf for 1.5 mth). I don't agree to wait till close shop to slim down coz now i'm preggie with 2nd child & i gain more weight than the 1st time, and i believe it will be harder to lose weight, coz when we get older our metabolisme will slow down. |

Lynn, is this your first baby? actually breastfeeding helps mommies to slim down faster naturally. breastfeeding exclusively helps you to burn about 500 calories per day. and if you are eating moderately, u CAN lost that baby fat naturally and safely without worries. breastfeeding not only burns calories, it also helps the womb to shrink back faster. also, if its your first baby, why u need to slim down so fast? unless u don't plan for anymore child after that. i'd rather wait until i 'close shop' then slim down once and for all... dont wan my body to stretch and slim so many times. :D |

Thanks for the advise YuFei but I doubt I can withstand being overweight by 10kg more for 1 yr. I'm planning to only stop breastfeeding after 1 yr which is too long a duration for me to return to my pre-pregnancy weight. Currently, I'm digging through my mum's wardrobe for her clothes to wear thus the eagerness to slim down ASAP. The only thing I'm worried about is the lecithin contain in my slimming drink. Not sure whether it would affect my BB since I'm breastfeeding but at the same time I'm also givin her formula milk. My consultant says it only contain a small amount of lecithin thus it's safe... Hmmm... Any ideas anyone? And Marayati... I'm currently undergoing treatments in London as well but they only charged me RM2900 for 10+1 but the same description as yours. I think your pricing is definitely way too high. But mine doesnt come with any wrapping. Does yours? |

its never too late to start slimming down later after u've stop breastfeeding. actually slimming down might also affect the quant*ty of your breastmilk as your body is not getting the correct amount of nutrition needed for a breastfeeding mother and risk your child's health as well. 2 months is so early to slim down. what i suggest is healthy slimming program like exercise and slowly cut down your food intake. dont slim down too fast as it is not good for u and bb. plus, slimming down too fast is considered as yoyo diet. u will plump up more after that. |

I just gave birth about 2 months ago and am now undergoing slimming treatment. As such, I'm given a supplement drink to help aid in slimming. The supplement drink contains lecithin (that helps to break down fats). I understand that wh*t*ver we consume will be p*ss right through to our baby if we breastfeed. However, my slimming consultant say it's fine for me to consume since my BB is taking both breast milk and formula milk. I would really love to slim down but at the same time am worried about the effect it may have on my BB. Anyone can advise me? |

well, its actually not very advisable for those mommies to slim down right after giving birth. your body is still weak and needs to recover after giving birth and lots of blood loss. it's still easy to slim down within a year of your delivery date. a month after i gave birth, i was still 6-8kgs heavier than my pre pregnancy weight. it's because i loss apet*te in my confinement, and didnt eat much. following few months i was so weak i got sick in every 2-3 weeks. the most serious was about 8 mths after my delivery was ulcers in my whole mouth, gums and sore throat. i could not eat anything besides cold soup and porridge for 2 months! it was then i losst about 6kgs and back to my pre pregnancy weight. even that my weight was the same but my body looks more pathetic then before. |

Those who want to buy the ginger cream, I found it in Tesco, Taman Midah Cheras. It's selling for RM22.00. It's a lil' store in the middle of the walkway near Anakku boutique. They sell alot of traditional slimming creams and drinks. |
