Well during my 1st pregnancy, i gained 10Kgs when i went for my 3rd mth review... Imagine "10Kgs"!! ... but i was underweight when the time i got pregnant, i was 43Kgs... i've totally gained 18.5Kgs towards the end of my pregnancy ... For my 2nd pregnancy.... I'm now almost towards 28th wks of pregnancy... I've gained 11kgs so far... i feel bloated....
Hey, same here. I also gained total 11kg at 28 weeks. At least got a companion, hehe. I don't feel bloated, just feel heavy, kinda clumsy and when sit, the legs/thighs can never be together anymore, they have to be apart. Make me feel like no longer lady-like, but no choice, the thighs bigger and uterus bigger, the thighs can't be together at all. I am about 30 weeks now, not sure my weight yet. Will know when going for next checkup 2 days later. Cheers... |

dear netteq if your doc says you're ok with the weight gain, then dont worry too much about it. Also, maybe you should rather prepare mentally about having this bb. Pregnancy & delivering is once in a lifetime experience. And you will experience changes in moods, thinking, lifestyle & of course physical changes as well. Ha ha.. am not saying that mommies have worse off physical shapes compared to non mommies but it's how you look at it & how & what you decide to do with post pregnancy body. which means - after delivery. so now, if you're healthy, pls dont think so much of how your body would look like after delivery. deal with it once your baby is born healthy & beautiful. good luck. |

i was on partial bedrest before and i think you can also do some light exercise. gaining too much weight in one week can also mean pre-eclampsia if i am not wrong. bedrest can be so boring but do adhere to it, if anything should happen to your baby due to your own selfish self, you wont forgive yourself. that is what i told myself to let me go thru my bedrest. i h*t*d it but i had to do it. |

At the risk of sounding shallow, I'm quite worried about my weight. Before pregnancy I hit the gym almost daily. After that it was down to 4-5 times a week with almost the same intensity. At 23 weeks, I was diagnosed with cervical incompetence and had a cerclage. I've been put on bedrest for the past 3 weeks and i've gained so much weight! It was a steady 1kg (sometimes even less) before this bedrest thing, now it's like... 2kg A WEEK!!!! HELP!!!! I know baby is more important but I'm so troubled. |

are you underweight? if so, you will gain more. also the "quality of food" says it all, if you are eating normal but if its mostly junk, then you will pile weight faster. morning sickness normally cause woman not gain weight fast. some women though gain a lot of weight in the beginning and then begin to taper off as they progress. if you are worried, then you should take to your doc. |
