Top of my list,
Desitin Diaper Rash Cream!!!
tanlengleng - ya, i also would have diaper rash cream on my list but i dont use desitin though.

i think my list to bring bb home from hospital would be and to stay is:

hospital stay
1.onesies, maybe like 3 - 4 pairs
2.diapers (but depends if the hospital provide)
3.thin receiving bl*nket to swaddle the baby cause the newborn like to be wrap tight cause its like the womb.

4. formula if you intend to formula feed or nursing bra if breastfeeding.

5. if hospital provide, breastpump is good to stimulate the nipples for breastfeeding cause when my bb was born she had jaundice and dont want to feed and my milk didnt come in till 4th day and she was very impatient. so when she is sleeping i use the breast pump to stimulate my breast and the milk came in that night. so she was happy lah.

6. mittens for the hands

7. for the mother, i think hospital gown is best cause at least when dirty no need to wash. but when go home, skirt better.

8. disposable underwear

cannot think oredi lor...congratulations on all the pregnancies!

I finds also that all the american baby books are very good, but things like what to buy to prepare for the baby is not quite actual. Because of their cold whether and different cultures. Like I really don't know how to buy clothes for my coming baby - what will be too hot or not hot enough. And what type of bath tub to buy because my mother says the "kwailo" style of bathing put the whole baby in cannot do here. So do anybody know other asian or chinese baby book, or any advise?

Soo
Talking about bathtub, I found this bathtub very handy, there is a board for the baby to sleep on top that you can have both hands free to wash the baby. The board can be lowered down at 45 degree for the baby's body to immerse in water while the head remain on top. It's very useful especially now my baby is 8 kg at 7th month. It can be found in many department stores in KL such as Jusco, Isetan, Metro. In JB, it can be found in Extra, Jusco & Ocean.

Dear Elaine_ch,

If u r an Anmum member (or got Anmum member friends who can help), then u can get Medela breastfeeding products at discounted price (valid from 1/8/03-15/9/03). U can call 03-42701128 to order & pay via cheque/bank transfer (Maybank)/credit card. Their email is lactaeqm@tm.net.my

According to my friend who just gave birth, Medela electric breastpump is the best (discounted price RM254) becoz it simulates baby's sucking mechanism/rhythm. Other useful products are nipple cream (RM32), washable bra pads (4 pcs for RM33, more economic than disposable ones) and milk collection shells (RM33 - so that milk that leaks out won't go to waste).

I just odered the above-mentioned stuffs for myself. Yet to receive the goods & won't be testing them till Dec. So, can't give u any personal comment yet

p/s. YKALing, do u mind sending me a copy of your shopping list too? (whsoo@yahoo.com) Thanks in advance!
