JL, Where do you get the probiotic? Clinic or pharmacy? How long did you give to your BB? |

Hi all, I've just found this link on BB TEETHING related issue, check out : http://bettersmarterkids.com/baby-teething/2007/01/18/ excerpt from the article : "Common Baby Teething Symptoms Baby teething symptoms varies from one child to the next. These are just guidelines and should not be taken as gospel. If your baby exhibits any of the following symptoms, it is best to visit the baby’s pediatrician first to rule out the possibility of other causes of the symptoms other than the baby teething process. Bad Mood and Irritability Biting and Gnawing Cheek Rubbing and Ear Pulling Chin Rash Coughing Diarrhea Excessive Salivation or Drooling Irregular Sleep Patterns Low-grade Fever" I've learned something from other parenting forum "...Teething can cause loose stool but not diahorrea. I used to think that my gal is teething. But it last for more than 1 week. Its not normal. I would suggest that you bring your bb to see a pd. If your bb is having diahorrea, stop giving her milk. Replace it with soya milk, porridge water. These are the symptoms for teething: 1. Loose stools 2. Produce alot of saliva 3. Likes to bite on something hard..." Do wish to hear from other mommies.. My niece had a bit of blood came out following her stool yday. We got worried, she's only 4.5mths old, what's wrong? Mum said probably heaty and made some barley drinks for her(without sugar) which she had been taking about fortnightly. |

Hi, My son just had a series of loose stools twice a day. He is 20months now and cutting his molars. This is the first time it happened to him. I didnt bring him to the Paed due to a few reasons which I managed to read up. One can only be diagnosed with diarrhea if -he/she has loose, watery unformed stools more than 3times a day -not having wet enough diapers (dehydration) -losing appet*te -frequent crying and many more Stop giving juices as it contains complex sugars which is hard to digest for toddlers. Give toast bread and refrain from milk. Diarrhea caused by virus/bacteria cannot be treated..it just takes its course for 5-7days. Anyone who has diarrhea for the next 24hours should be referred to a Paed. Hope this helps! Cheers! |

Hi all mommies, My BB is 9 mths ++ old. Recently, He is having loose stool, and some of the days, diarrhea. This has been for around 1 month plus already... Many told me that it is no big issue, is just TEETHING STOOL. I am just not too sure about this. I am wondering if any mommies' BB here have the same experience before? Can share your experience of how to deal with this issue??? I really wish to know wht's wrong with my BB..... (My boy is active like usual, all seems normal but the pooh pooh..) A worried mother. |
