hi samy, yes, bb food jar. thanks for the link. hehe, i ordered itu tupperware ice tray also ler! not yet collect :D
Ya. The tupperware ice tray good la. I like the design. Can made 14oz at a time (if i not mistaken) But then it doesn't not fix standard bottle mouth. So what i plan is thaw the frozen bm in slippy cup or tupperware stor N pour, then only pour into baby bottle. With this tray, i no need to store 1 or 2oz BM in bottle already. Just make a tray or frozen bm, put in freezer bag and transfer to my MIL freezer. |

I prefer to store in bottles...
Store in bottle, less pouring mean less work less washing, , also less waste of milk during pouring and transfer process. And bottle still can use for my following baby. My DH also don't like to use disposable item, unless no better choice. But one thing, bottle take up place in the frezer. But not a problem for me because my Freezer store little stuff only. |

hi samy, i dont pump direct to bags. i pump to bottle & then get ready wh*t*ver amount i need to send to nanny. those extra only i will transfer to milk bags for freezing as back up stock. the milk bags i used is from Playtex (actually should say milk storage liners). you can see it here - http://www.momslittleones.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath =22_28_37&products_id=220&osCsid=rqglrc1ltc78q000q82ipfqcc2. dont really cost that expensive but still cant reuse. 1 thing though, the liners are quite thin, i will put inside tupperware in freezer to avoid freezer burn. |

Yes, it's 2 trays and 2 lids sold at price RM68 at LittleWhiz. I already got it delivered to me weeks ago. I thought it's considered expensive somemore(luckily husband didn't ask me the price although I showed it to him, hahaha)...but no choice, coz think it'll be better compared to storage bags coz I think I'll be clumsy to pour and handle if using storage bags. |

Dear Margarita and Janicelly I also want to try the milk tray to keep 1 oz BM. But it very expensive. In US website, only US15 ++ for two tray and two lid. A local website (shop located in Kota Kemuning) sale RM120 for two (promotion size) So any idea?
Hi, Chen Ling. Are they selling RM120 for 4 trays? Cos most of d websites I've come across r selling 2 trays for abt RM68 only...
Hah? Did i read wrongly? 1 unit for sensible milk tray come with the lid/cover. It is? at littlewhiz, 1 unit at RM68. At the shop at kota kemuning, selling price for 1 unit is RM68, and 2 units for RM120. Eh? If 2 for RM68, the price is ok leh... I need to check probably.. |

hi magarita, i am using Medela PISA. maybe you can try Ameda Lactaline (below RM800 i believe, samy is using Ameda, i think she will be able to tell you more) & another affordable double pump will be Spectra. you can have a look here - http://www.momslittleones.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath =22_28_21&products_id=219&osCsid=2af468kd1v0npl5nvbkm1u8cn2. ooo, i am interested in the milk line trays oso but opted for milk bags instead. you are very good, altho your baby will be at outstation, you still plan to BF. i really salute you!!!
Hi janicelly, yea I chose the milk tray coz think the milk bags will be clumsy for me to use, although haven't used one yet. For double electric pump, I will consider it after coming back to work and start pumping, see how things go, if realy too troublesome to be on manual pump, then will consider to get a double electric. Hehe, like all the other mums, I just wish to be able to give the best to bb. |

I am more comforted now that you tell me baby at 3months old won't have n*ppl* confusion. For teat, I already bought Avent's smallest teat, the one with only 1 hole for newborn one. I only read that it's best to pump every 2 hours, so I thought of doing that, but you are right, then I would need 30 min for pumping and washing too..wouldn't be good impression for boss to see me away from my seat too often a day. What would you recommend? About double electric pump, it's very costly, that's why I chose Avent manual pump, much more affordable. Which electric pump you using now? I will pump at night time too, not only during working hours. For storing bm, I bought this http://www.littlewhiz.com/pd-sensible-lines-milk-trays.cfm, plan to use this for storing. So when at work, will pump and store in separate bottles and put in fridge. Then when finish work, will bring back home using cooler bag. Once home, will pour the cold bm into the tray and store in freezer. After milk ready and frozen(eg. the next day), will put in the suggested freezer bag with zipper(yet to buy these, need to find from hypermarket). Then, when I go back hometown on Friday after work, or maybe if my husband goes back to hometown earlier(possibly Thursday), will bring the freezer bags filled with the milk sticks to babysitter. |

Hi! I'm half time pumping and half time bf mum. I fully support your plan. But the problem is your pump and pumping session. You just want to pump at work? What about night time? By the time your baby might need at least 30oz per day. Would you want to stress yourself to pump min 30oz at work? Can you really pump every 2 hours at work? Pumping per session take about <>30 minute include cleaning and storing. (may take longer time if your let down is slow) Avent manual is a good pump but not suitable for your case. Not effective! (your will be very tire and time consuming.) Sure you will need another double electric pump if you plan for long term. I also use Avent manual but after sometime, i still get another double electric pump. Nipple confusion normally happens to newborn. A 3 month old baby is unlikely to have n*ppl* confusion or forget how to latch on. The most important is getting a slow flow teat. My baby 6months++ still using "S" size teats. I work 6 days and away from baby from 8am to 7pm. My baby needs at least 14oz (at 3months of age) I definitely want to share with you from what I experience. Please feel free to email me. cl_yong@hotmail.com BTW, how you plan to store you BM? Using what?
hi magarita, i agree with what samy said. i am a working mom too & have breastfed my baby exckusively for almost 7 mths now. investing in a good double pump makes a lot of difference (save time too). i used to use a single pump (eletric) but it took too long & i finally upgraded to double pump. like what samy said, you will need to pump at night too to maintain your supply. good luck! |
