Hi,
I also experienced the same, i tried to reduce the production after reading oversupply is not good as well because the nutrition might get 'thinner'....
It is the nature of our body, like bb expected to drink 30ml a day (produced by our body), but she drink on 20ml, then the over supply 10ml nutrition she didn't got it....
But really have to be very carefull in reducing the pumping times....

I also don't understand why my pead ask me to do so. I gave my baby try alot of food. If not next time, he will be a picker eater. Better train now. Should i give him bitter gourd? |

Wah! your bb dropped nite feed already! mine still feed like 1-2 times per nite ler (sometimes more) bt i m ok la, altho look like panda, hehe

so good ler, you hv over supply. i only make enough for her. my backup stock is from my weekend pumping. at least have some backup stock i not so tension.
wow! you already gave a lot of solid food. how come our paedi's view totally different one :s?
if bb poo stil soft, cant be constipated kua.
as for water, i dont give much cos i still BF her often. just put some in her sippy cup for her to try but she spit most out :s. when i put BM, she finish all. so pandai! haih! |

Oh my baby got poo poo 3 time after i feed him mash banana and apple pureen.
Janicelly, my baby also cry and scare when got big poo poo. Constipation?
Any idea on how much water to feed bf baby? |

Dear Janicelly and Elain
How so many Jan2008 baby i know from this forum. Good Can share along of things.
My pead recommed to give more solid to baby. She ask me to feed solid first that only BM.
I already cut down my pumping to twice a day. But still over supply.
I already, introduce orange juice (mix with abit of water but he consume abit only) mash ripe banana, pureen ripe apple, avocado, sweet potatoes, potatoes, pureen brown rice, baby plain cereal, brown rice cereal, pumpkin.
My mom complaint that i gave to much sweet thing to baby. Bilibalabilibala....
Next, i will try mango, peach, spinach and chinese spinach.
I want to try bitter gourd. any idea? Any mommies feed this to baby.
Wow, elaine, you baby don't take milk at midnite already. Sometime, my baby also. But i will worry leh.. So if i wake up in the midnite before him, i will bf . he will have his midnight milk while dreaming.. ha ha ha |

Hi,
My girl is a Jan2008 bb. I've cut down my EBM to 3 times a day. I do not store freezed milk as she doesn't like it. At most the longest is within 24hrs.
She takes 2 times of cereal (lunch and dinner) & 4 times of BM. She doesn't take milk in the midnite anymore.

yaya, my bb born on Jan 2008! it's nice to know our bb around same age, can exchange notes, hehe.
my baby sitter feed her rice cereal around lunch time. so far, i've give her steamed carrots, baked sweet potatoes & avocados. so far, she oni eat like 1 tablespoon of rice cereal & small cubes of others.
my paedi told me to give BM then oni feed solid food & emphasized 1st yr main food still BM.
wah, your bb must be chubby & cute! mine oni weigh 7.2kg at 6 mths, heheh. her weight is average but head & length oso above average.
actually i am a bit confused like you - wonder should i drop a pumping session or not. but since my bb stil taking same amount of milk, i dare not drop ler.... |

Oh realy, your baby born on last Jan 2008? As first, i just feed him morning cereal only. That last two weeks ago, at evening feed potatoes puree with BM. Last whole week, feed sweet potatoes pureen. Last 3 days ago. i stop morning cereal and replace with vegetable puree. I think the main problem is MIL feed him boil water. total about 3 oz perday.
Some recomend feed BM that only solid food. Some recomend (include my pead) recomend to feed solid that only BM. Pead advice give more solid. I don't understand. Perhad my baby growth very fast. at month 6th, weighted 9.45kg, head and length also between the top of the milestone.. |
