Well as for my son (16 mths old), there is no way i can persuade him to try on new bottles with different teats... i've tried Avent & MAM... NO!!! he refused to s*ck... but as long as i use the same old brand "pigeon" yellow teat, he'll s*ck... so actually not the problem with bottles but teat :P
Recently my son refused to s*ck and he prefer to be spoon feed.... hmhmm.... |

That day my hubby const*tute medicine into my 19mths old gal's bottle n refused to drink milk.Mayb she's afraid of the medicine or...
I had just changed to new milk bottle.I thought she recognise the milk bottle as it's different from the old milk bottle.
Then i pour the milk from new bottle to the old bottle and she drank it.
Few days later,I try to persuade her to drink the new bottle with telling her the picture at the new bottle such as u see star,fish,children.
She laugh and now she's using her new milk bottles:) |

The pigeon teat is the standard size not the wide neck.. I slowly 'tam' her to use the avent bottle, sometimes she ok with the bottle but sometimes not.. She is teething now.. Btw, wld teething make babies refuse food? she no fever, no crying everything seem alright only refusing milk..
nowaday she cant pay attention on her meal, especially when all her cousins are around, she will push her bottle away and wanted to play with them.. i feed her in my room, she refused too and keep crying.. when i bring her out from the room she stop crying and smiles to me..my mil and i surrender..

Teething does affect the appet*te of the BB.Is it that ur BB already bored with the milk powder she's drinking?Mayb u should consult the doc to recommend u a new brand of milk powder.
When BB have people to play with,normally they will not eat..My 19 month of gal also refuse to eat when she hav someone to play with me.
Thank you so much for your info.. I think she is still ok with the formula.. if the situation isn’t change I will consult my paed to recommend me new formula.. Now the 3rd incisor is growing and the 4th is coming soon, can see her gum is swollen.. It muz be irritability..
Also, she is an active baby and she loves to explore everything in the house.. when she found something is interesting she can’t concentrate on her meals and even sleeping..

Avent is the wide neck. How about the pigeon brand teat since she born, if it is standard size and for me yellow teat will be more soft if you compare with the Avent teat which is more hard... my son use to use standard teat and i change to Avent when he is fullmoon due to the old 1 has leaked... he refuse to use it also... and my friends use to have experience which they already use the standard teat normally they will not like Avent teat / wide neck teat........ and you will have difficult when want to switch it and some may effect their milk demand.... |
