i think with yogurt very hard to find full fat ones or even organic, i do give low fat yogurt to my dd but i make up for the low fat by using butter when making her food. i too believe home made food is great but busy moms should not feel they failed their kids if you give your kids commercial food. an idea if you are a busy mom, try preparing food for your kids during the weekend, freeze them properly and you send your kids to babysitter, just get her to reheat it. saves time, money and also you know your kid eating what you make. pin, maybe get your dd to feed herself? also 6 small meals a day helps with picky eater than 3 big meals. |

Those on the shelves yogurt they use cheap version of milk to make. Also they tend to put some chemical to preserve it and to make it "creamy". Emulcifier, Xamthum Gum...all are thickeners...and you think the fruit is fresh? They are cooked and from those canned one...preserved d.... Also 95% of yogurt in Malaysia (other than Calci - yum)is low fat. Babies not suitable to take low fat milk ma...so same as yogurt lor.... If you busy, just invest in a yogurt maker...can be any brand....choose that one suit your lifestyle... |

Hi K.J, How do you prepare homemade yogurt? i'm a working mom. Like HF, i dont have time to make complicated food for my kid but i would like them to grow healthily... Those off the rack yogurts are not advisable? |

I am too busy to make complicated food though i want her to stay healthy. That makes my dd does not have a wide variety of choices and she has no appet*te. maybe she is used to empty stomach? |

Nowadays people/researchers r talking about early childhood nutrition n how important it is towards raising healthy children...i feel its not something researchers ought to tell us for us to be imformed!Good n the right nutrition is essential to a child`s development, physically as well as mentally.B4 i became a mom myself i used to be so clueless. But once motherhood started, thru trial n error,i have managed to raise my boys in a healthy manner.Yogurt, homemade,is far better than the commercial ones..n one can start their child on it provided he/she doesn`t have lactose intolerance. |
