I experienced in all my three children. Three of them also very picky eater & i really go thru a hard time on their growing time. My children when born already started don't want to drink milk themselves. I have spoon feed them during feeding time. Now i used to it & really no choice.
My youngest son, now 17th mths. He is about    9.5kgs only. I never give up to find way to hope can increase his appet*te. I tried with mitivitamin recommended by doctor & chinese herbs / medication. Looks like not really workable also. He is on Pediasure since year one till now.
He takes twice porridge meal per day (provided is he want eat). Sometime he refuses & have to spoon feed him with milk.
After three children, i still facing the same problems. Eventhough, my 4 years old little girl also very picky eater. She also hardly want to eat rice. Most of her main meals are porridge instead of rice.
If some mummy can share with me, it would be very appreciated.

Thank you.

My son was like that at that age too...Thank God he is eating well now.... Just have to experiment with a lot of food... like putting in more ingredients into the porridge or rice.

I used to steam rice with carrots or sweet potatoes or peas so that the rice has some kind of taste. U can also try using chicken broth as the base for the rice/porridge. One thing for sure is that soup is very nutritious and easily digested. It's all about trial and error....

Good luck

Maybe you can consider to change formula milk to Pediasure Complete. It is good for picky eater. Check out this website for more details http://www.abbott.com.my/ped_nutri/pn_thr_form_pediasure_com plete.asp

You may call them for sample request too.
