Jac,

i've heard of the nab, and so far i never bring my girl to paed for that. i've also heard of the pros and cons of it, so, better not try. it's just a temporary relief for kids who have difficulty breathing through thick mucus.

if i'm not wrong, there's different doses of paracetemol for children below 1 yr old, 1-3 years old and 3-5 years old. if your girl is taking med for bigger kids, thus she need only minimal of the med. if she is taking the dose for babies, then she would have to take more. normally the dose that paed give will be milder than GP's.

Chines physician normally 'ba mai' to know the condition of one's body. hmm...    opposite shell station green road, u will c a lorong between the old shops rite? just turn into that lorong, drive until u see a 'Y' junction, which both is going to poh kwong park one.. take the right lorong and then turn left at the small road where there's a wooden house in front. San He clinic is also wooden house, and they also got teach piano at the other side. if u still dont know where, just let me know..

Hi Vicky,

My gal is ok now. Brought her to the doc d oth day but d doc said not necessary for Nab as we'll try on antibiotic first. Actually, the Nab was just to put near their mouth so they breathe in the 'gas'. My friend said that it's even better when the kids are crying, as the lungs will open, more effective. haha...

To Vicky and Yufei,

I wonder how much (ml) of syrup do you usually give to your kids? At 20 months old, most paeds are giving 5ml of fever, cough and flu, or even antibiotic to my daughter. But my friend and sister in Singapore, their paeds only give 3ml at this age, as they said 5ml is for kids around 4 or 5 years old.

Hmm... i wonder why Kuching's Paeds gives such a high consumption?

Yufei,

Thanks for your recommendation. How does this Chinese physician know the condition of their body? "Ta Mai" ah? Also, i don't know the area that you were talking. Don't know Jln Sg Maong Tengah, Don't know Jln Kim Kiat. I only know Sky Garden and Poh Kwong Park (only up till the shop area). haha..

Hi Vicky,

The Yogurt Powder is actually Pre and ProBiotics. My friend suggested me to try as she gave to her son and since then, seldom get sick.

Thanks for your information on the Cheese as well. I haven't started giving her Cheese yet. But most probably would be your choice as well if i start giving, since it's recommended.

Hmm.. My daughter is very very dry cough now with runny nose. She couldn't sleep due to breathing problem. The nose got blocked, full of mucus.

I brought her to the doc last saturday with only flu and slight cough. Doc said her throat was clear, so no antibiotic was given. But Sunday started refuse drinking and later at night started her dry cough. she has lots mucus and phlegm. I am thinking of bringing her for a nab suction. Some said Nab is good as it would clear the lungs, but some said it's only for temporary help. And what do you say?
Hi Jacque,

Aiyoyo i am so sorry cos i hv missed ur reply.

So how is ur dd now? Hopefully she is fine oredi. There is a topic in Healthy Kids abt cough. D 'remedy' is to put a generous amt of Vicks Vapourub on both feet n then put on a pair of socks before goes to sleep at nite. A lot of mommies hv tried it n they said it works for their babies. They can sleep throughout d nite.

I am so sorry again as i dunno what is called Nab Suction. But if it involves of s*cking out d mucous frm d throat, then i know what it is la        Actually i hv seen it before in d hospital.

D 1st time i heard cupping of d back then after a while i heard d cries, i ask my physiotherapist what happen? She answered me dat a bb is doing d mucous suction. Wah i feel like crying too when i heard d bb cried. Then another time i saw another bb oso doing d same thing. I saw d therapist cupping d back n then put in a hose thru d bb's throat n then start d s*cking machine. EEeeee my heart really goes all out for d bb. So kesian la.

According to my therapist, dis s*cking is not permanent. D mucous will still accumulate again nex time. So u better ask ur paed's opinion first before u send ur dd for dis mucous suction.

Hi Vicky,

Thanks for your reply.
I think my daughter's body is quite 'heaty' type. It's said that Milk powder is heaty and Vitamins are heaty too. So i wonder if too much vitamins will cause negative some more? I had just started giving her the Bio-Life AB Junior Powder Yogurt for about.... i think 4 days. Don't see anything yet so far, but nothing negative happens as well.

And you know what? Surprisingly!!!    I sent her to private doctor for the 18th Months Hib Jab last friday evening. I've got my best preparation that she will have fever... but ... NO !!!! NO FEVER !!! Paid RM85 and NO FEVER !!!! Geees !!!! I told my husband:"Qi Kuai leh... No Fever" and he laughed at me !! HAha.. True enough!! Since she was born, i've sent her to the Poliklinik for the jabs, from born till the recent jab before the 18th months, she had fever everytime she had the jab, worse was the 12 months old MMR. Fever till 39 degrees and above and body shaking.... but now... no fever. haha...
Hi Jacque,

I hv checked wz my fren, she said u can take d vit alternate day if u scared it will be too heaty but actually vits r not heaty, its just d body reaction to d vits. Dats y sometimes when u take certain vits, u will feel worse but in actual fact, d vits r doing its job of 'clearing' up our body. Given some time, d body will adapt to it.

Just curious, what is d benefit of dis powder yogurt?

Wah ur daughter's body is telling u, nex time take me to d private Dr for all my jabs, hahahahahah....... I dunno whats d diff between d private Dr n d poliklinik Dr as i hv stick to my daughter's paed since she was born almost 4 yrs ago for all types of jabs n illness. So far she had no fever wz all her jabs tho her paed do gav me some paracetamol n ibuprofen just in case she has d fever but thank God dat i seldom use it.

I gav my girl Chesedale cheese cos i find dat dis cheese contained more calcium. U can compare it wz other brands too n let me kno oso if u found any other brands which is better than dis Chesedale. Besides dat my girl loves to eat d Laughing Cow cheese which comes in a round box of 8 or 12 pcs.

oh yes Vicky, forgot to ask you. Any idea what type of Cheese should we give for a 19 month old? Is it the normal Kraft Cheese which we eat with bread? Or any other types available suitable for kids ah? Then... how much should they be taking? Is it too much to consume one whole piece of the cheese?

Vicky,

U are in West Malaysia right?

Well, my daughter is feeling sick again. Having fever again last night. Tell you what... her medicine never get into the fridge. She will have fever almost every week. Recovered and Return. Pengsan!

Then she didn't want to drink much yesterday, i suppose maybe throat discomfort again. Then my dad was meeting a friend who went to New Zealand, gave my dad a bottle of Manuka Honey. So I tried giving it to my daughter, but she didn't want to drink it. In the end, i drank it. haha... I brewed her Barley yesterday, she refused as well. She's the Ribena Queen, but also less interested yesterday. I rang her childcare, teacher said maybe she's teething, so fever often. I have been postponing her 18th months injection for 3 times and she's now 19 months, haven't took the jab yet.

About Artistry, my skin is Combination. I don't see Artistry having formula specially for Combination skin. So couldn't make up my mind whether to try or not to try it.
Hi Jacque,

Sorry for my late reply. Yes i am frm West Msia.

How is ur girl? Hope she is better now. My fren said u hv to start giving her vit C n multivits in order to strengten her immune system. If she cant chew d tablets then u can mash it. U hv to continue giving her dis vits. U might not see immediate results but slowly slowly u will see it.

Did u giv her d manuka honey 'neat' (not dilute it wz water)?

Ya lor, she cant hv d jab when she is sick. So u really got no choice. I hv defered my girl's jab for 6 mths too last time due to my dilly dally but Dr said its ok hehehee....... so dont u worry too much.

My skin oso is combination. Oily at d T zone n dry at others. So i am using d Time Defiance for normal to dry skin. Like i said before if u finds dat wh*t*ver skincare u r using is not suitable for u, u can change to another set or get a refund, so u dun lose anything. I think there is no other company who will let the customers to do this.

Hi Vicky,

No, i'm not Amway member. I got the price from my friend who's a member, and we are in East Malaysia, Kuching. Guess that's the reason why my price is more expensive than yours.

I've heard that Amway product is good, even the Artistry which i was thinking of giving it a try too. But.... they don't have trial pack, so i hesitate ....
Hi Jacque,

Oh no wonder la your price is slightly higher than mine .
Why dun u join as a member? I can sponsor you if you want. As a member you will get some % as a commission at the end of every month. The more you buy the more % is your commission. Since you are aware that Amway products are good, you should join as a member as you might use their products. So you oso can save some from the commissions. Thats why i join as a member, so i can save/earn some commissions from all the products that i bought.

Another good thing is that if you are not satisfied with the products that you hv bought, you can return the products as long as its about 2/3 left.

For example, I am using their Artistry 'Time Defiance (TD)' now. But before this i hv tried their 'Pure White' series which i found that it's a bit dry for me eventho i am using their series for dry skin, so i returned it back and try the TD. I found that this TD is more suitable for me now. I am very satisfied with it.

I hv oso returned a few other products until i feel so bad but my upline said its ok to return it back as long as i am satisfied hehehehe.......

Hey, if u need more info or advise abt this Amway, do feel free to sms me and i will ask my upline to give you a call. Dun worry, its on a no obligation basis. My no is 012-9202961. Cheers.

Off-topic but can't resist responding..

Yeah, go ahead with your plan & u can then give BOTH your kids the REAL milk - breastmilk!!! (not 'formula' or breastmilk-imitation)
