I bought GD flash card for my elder daugther when she was 1 year old but did not really show it to her everday coz she is at babysitter for day and night care, she is now 5 years old and at Kindergarden, luckily, she loves reading, so I guess flash card did help in some ways..    anyway, will start using the flash card for my boy who is now 13 months plus...

heard that there is BM flash card, is it still suitable to use for my 5 year old daugther, please advise.

thanks and regards,
Lai Leng

All mummies,
Just to share with you to ensure is not too late for starting this to your children.
I practiced flash card to my elder son since he was one year old. He able to read 300 words of the Mandarin words during he was 3 years old and he is now 5 years old and able to read some simple Mandarin Story books..

I feel regret for not practice this to my youngest son as you know sometimes really don’t have time when we have 2 kids to take care.. So, he is now about 21 months and he refuses to learn and run away when I shown him the flash card.
By the way, after spent a lot of time, finally I managed to solve this problem and found some interested method to teach him..

Now he likes this flash card very much.

In the first six years of life, a children has a mind that absorbs great amounts of information without any effort. This is also the child's greatest learning capability period.

PLEASE PRACTICE ‘FLASH CARD’ before too LATE! It is better to start as earlier age as you CAN!

dear all,

Do u all send ur baby to the centre at a start? did anyone actually using the power flash card software where u can design ur own? I am keen to know more, and where is the best place we can find these product with good/knowledgeable    consultation available? how much roughly it cost and apart fr flash card, u did anyone also try other prog? tq

Totally agreed to start from newborn...I experience for my 2 kids..my 1st kid, son, i started to show him flash cards when he is newborn & he is very keen of it compare to my daughter, now 8 months show no interest at all.    I started to show her but she keep wanting to put in her mouth, resulting in I don show her anymore.    Instead I use difference approach, I will talk to her in everythings we see...

Hi,
I am using Glenn Doman flash card but I was able to find more cheaper flash card which cost about RM50 for Mandarin , RM98 for Math Dot Kit and RM70 for English. I never send my son to any centre as I feel not worth it to spend that money. Why don't we teach them ourself and at the same time having funs with them..

There will be a DVD provided together with flash card to show you 'How to teach your child FLASH CARD' which I mentined earlier.
You can send me email at tanflashcard@gmail.com< /a> or    if you like to know more.

i use flash cards almost everyday but only less than 10 minutes for my 22 mths old son (stil hvn't know how to talk yet).    If i repeated more, he refused to see and do other things.    So as long as he turns to other things then i'll stop and continue d next day.    Now when i juz read out d flash cards (without d flash cards), he will hold my hand and ask me to take d flash card to read for him.
How many times you practice it daily? From what I learnt, we can only shown them 3 times perday, each card only takes 1 second. More faster, more efficient!

Another thing, remember not 'TESTING' them!
