Hi

My baby (now 4.5mths) also started having this blocked nose (no running nose) thing about 2 to 3 weeks ago.    We use air-cond at nite (set to 27 C) and also use air-purifier with humidier.    Have also try chest rub for bb, olbas oil but still nothing seem to work.    I have to switch on the air cond as my baby can't sleep if very too hot in the room.

Any suggestions?

Newborn tends to have this problem as their nostrils r still small, according to my DD's pead. It's not an illness, so dun need medication at all. They will grow out of it as their nostrils grow larger.

U can elevate his pillow or let him sleep on tummy. I find the latter helps my kids to sleep better & longer. My DD grew out of it when she was abt 4mo. So did my nieces. My DS didn't seem to have this problem as he sleeps on tummy since day1.

came across some articles regarding nose block. i havent try it myself but will do it if my baby has blocked nose. (Hope it wont happen!). Go in the bathroom turn on the shower with real hot water so it will steam up the bathroom. Sit the baby on your lap and let them breathe in the steam. This will help ease their nose block. happy trying
