Saw many videos of bb swimmming from as young as 53 days old, see example on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSufsVzNAnw

Showed this to mum and sil, they got so excited and said want to buy a big plastic pool to put at home for 4mth-old niece to play in that. Anyone know where can buy the tube around bb's neck?

Would like to know whether it is safe to bring baby swimming at the age of 7 month old?
Our public pools are typically not baby-friendly. The water is not heated and contains high level of chlorine. Just my opinion..

Would like to know whether it is safe to bring baby swimming at the age of 7 month old? there are a lot of equipments in the market which promotes this but i'm not so confident. is it ok to let the baby soak in the cold water? Any advice?
We dipped our baby in her mini pool (at home) when she was 2 mths+. Though I read from a book saying that babies can swim when they were born, I was a bit worried earlier. It seems that if they starts later, they'll still learn to swim , but maybe a little bit slower compared to earlier age.
Her daddy will hold her while she floats on the water. I will boil pots of hot water to make warm water in her pool.
Now that she is 6.5mths, we bring her to real pool outside when the weather is not too cold or hot, but only 5 -10 mins and she seems to enjoy the water.
But if you feel more confident when your baby is older, by all means, do according to your bb's pace.
