Hi there My daughter now (2 months) used to poo poo 3-4 times for a day, but after the full moon 1 time every 2 days. There is 1 time that she nvr poo poo for 4 days, then I started to panic, call the hospital's nursery asking them what to do and advised me to bring she to see doctor. As the 4 day is a Sunday, so i take her to emergency room for checkup. After checking, according to the doc (after exam. the stomach), my daughter is doing fine & nothing to be worry about. Prescribe syrup to ease her bowel. But the next day (5ft days), I call her paed & he said that it's normal for kids not to poo poo everyday. He also mentioned that if the bb dun poo poo for 10 days, only the parents can "kam cheong", otherwise, just "relax". But lucky after calling her pead, my bb poo poo....

My bb was previously on NAN HA until she decided that she doesn't like the taste anymore. Her poo was green at that time. Then I bought Enfalac A+ for her to try. I mixed the formula coz that's the only way to make her drink milk and finish the 2 tin of NAN HA. When she started drinking Enfalac A+ she also have very watery stools. Yellow and seedy (just like bf babies). She poo very frequently and even in the middle of the night! I too was very worried that maybe Enfalac A+ is not suitable for her. She doesn't seem uncomfortable so I decided to monitor a while before deciding whether to bring her to Pead. But after a while her poo is normal already. Maybe is the transitional period kua.
My bb also took NAN HA which recommended by doctor, his poo colour like cement after taking NAN HA. Then i changed to Snow, poo also the same colour, but he only poo 2 days once. I give him Frisolac, his poo turn to yellow. Until now, I am not sure which formula suitable for him.
my baby going to be 2 months. Nowadays her poo poo colour is dark green colour and little bit watery. Is it normal? Somemore the poo poo is quite bad smell. Sometimes she breakwind few times in a day. She drinks Snow formula milk. Is the formula milk not suitable for her? Im quite worry about it. Any advise? |

My baby also poo 3-4 days once when she was 2 months old. My Pead advise me not to worried as long as when she poo, the consistency of the poo poo is not hard. Like your doctor, she also mention that I only need to worry when my baby not poo for more then 5 days wo ...... That time I was also very kan cheong coz I am a new mom too As she is older (7 mths old now), she will poo poo everyday because she can understand poo poo now so we "remind" her to poo poo every morning which she does. If the baby's poo poo is hard then need to consider changing her milk powder. |

Hi Yu Fei & Saw Thks for the replies. It is quite difficult 4 me to explain how is the poo look like. As i can see is a lot of white spot & most of the times when he poo... sure he will release air fr his buttock. Sometimes, the poo a little bit sticky too. My paed advise me to give my bb Semecta - spelling not sure. It is actually one type of salt to replenish water loss. But, i just give it to him one / twice per day only. Before that my son drink Annum Infracare & his poo is normal. During diahorrea, i let him drinks Isomil LF but the conditions not yet recover. So, shall i continuously feed him with Isomil or shift back to Annum?
in that case, i think maybe the milk is not suitable for his stomach to digest, tht's y u can c white spots in his poo. Smecta is an oral rehydration salt. its commonly used for diarrhea and vomitting patients to gain back the water loss. diarrhea could stay on until 1-2 weeks.. so i guess for now u monitor his poo until it goes back to normal. give him more breastmilk as it can help. my girl previously diarrhea for nearly 2 weeks la.. then doctor prescribe her 'prebiotic' which is to calm down her intestine so that she won't poo that much. small babies normally have waterly poo.. just as long as its not smelly and seems more yellowish, then he is fine. otherwise, there's nothing to worry about. u can try give him some porridge water... its good as well.
hey ! i hv the same concern with my bb's poo. she is going to be 2 months. only recenyly her poo is watery poo mix of yellow n green. i hv just to snow earlier we used S26 caused constipation. my CL told me is the formula. can someone help me ? she is my first so no experience... |

Kong, u can try to continue giving your baby milk. soya based milk like isomil and nursoy is better for your baby rite now. please give your baby more water to replace water loss when diarrhea. also, make sure that u keep his things very clean rite now to avoid passing some more germs to him. wash your hands before and after attending to him so that you won't spread his germs around as well. your baby is small now so, there's basically nothing much to give him yet. some people say giving yoghurt might help to ease diarrhea as it contains lactobascilus. u can try mix a bit in his milk. |

It is yellowish, have a white spot in it - but quite watery. Sometimes it is black/green colour too. This situation has prolong for about 3 weeks. Consulted the Paed, had the medication & drinks Isomail also the same. Now my son is 3 1/2 mths. I'm not sure if this is the indication of teething? How to check & what shall i do to stop the diahorrea? Any mummies have the same experience, pls advise. TQ
white spots, u mean white lumps in your baby's poo? it could be the milk powder. please make sure the milk powder is completely diluted into the warm water before giving it to your baby. certain milk powder that are more oily are more diffcult to dilute. |
